Last year, we never thought we’ll keep doing this silly thing called blogging but maybe it’s not so silly because we kept doing it. Now we’re one year old. Does this mean that this blog is now an adult? Or did it reach adulthood six months ago?
Anyway, we were thinking of coming up with some tidbits about this blog (visits, page views, where you are located, etc) but we’re lazy because it is a Saturday morning. Maybe we will post those tidbits in the coming days.
So JMom, a fellow Igorot blogger based in North Carolina, tagged me to tell you eight random facts about myself. I’m not sure if you would be interested in these facts but a tag is almost like the voice of God which should not be ignored. (Of course, if the voice is actually the voice of Anglican Archbishop Akinola who is 100% certainly, definitely, absolutely sure that he is the voice of God then it is best to run away as fast as possible.) Thanks JMom, I liked doing this because it is a good break from all the newsy or serious stuff that we often publish here. Anyway, here are the rules (copied from JMom) for those tagged to do this meme:
We have to post these rules before we give you the facts.
Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
Don’t forget to leave them a comment on their blog telling them they’re tagged, and you read their blog.
But where were we? We had to do some emergency projects in areas where there’s no internet, then we spent a lot of time looking for a new apartment to live in because our former landlady said that she is going to move to our former place, then Bayantel took forever to transfer our landline and internet connection (Yeah we’re low tech hehe), then we called Bayantel and gave them a tongue-lashing for being such slowpokes (Yeah we can be bad hehe), then we were tempted to dump Bayantel and apply to PLDT and upgrade our internet from modem to DSL, then when we were preparing to go to PLDT the Bayantel people arrived and installed our phone and internet, then we excitedly opened this blog and read all your comments, and then we decided to post again.
Are you the kind of guy who pays no attention to the stranger seated beside you in a bus? Well, I’m kind of like that. Last December however, while riding a bus to Baguio, I got curious when my seat mate took out his digital camera and started taking photos of the passing scenes. Because I have been planning to buy a digicam for the longest time, I asked him about his camera hoping that I would get some advice on the reliable ones to purchase. It turns out that he received the camera as a gift so he didn’t have much advice on what brand to buy, the best place to buy one, how much to spend, and all those things that we think about when we buy something that we hope will be with us for a long time.
So I was trying to add a hack (courtesy of BeautifulBeta) to the html template which was supposed to add another sidebar to the blog’s layout but this is how it turned out. Now, whenever I want to revert to the original layout, Blogger just keeps coming up with an error message. So, apparently this blog is going to be stuck with this look for now. It doesn’t look too bad naman. In fact, it is better than the old layout in some aspects. I still need that second sidebar though. So I might play around with the template in the near future. He he. Di na natuto.
