UPDATE 4: Floydelia Diasen was officially proclaimed as the Governor-elect of Kalinga after she received 52,897 votes against Lawrence Wacnang’s 18,721 votes. Although the votes from Tinglayan have yet to be added to the provincial total, the COMELEC decided to proclaim Diasen because the remaining uncanvassed votes would not affect the results. The congressional race remains a toss-up between Manuel Agyao and James Bejarin and the Tinglayan votes will decide who between the two of them will be Kalinga’s next Congressman. Source: Inquirer.
