Two Years Later: Remembering Pepe Manegdeg

We’re publishing the reflections of Dom-an Macagne-Manegdeg on the killing of her husband Jose “Pepe” Manegdeg. Pepe was an NGO/church worker who was killed in Ilocos Sur two years ago. His case remains unsolved and according to this update, Dom-an and her family are now facing threats apparently because they continue to seek justice for Pepe.

Gloria and her ilk will, of course, deny that activists are being killed in the Philippines but these killings are real.

Dulnuan Update: A Light at the End of the Tunnel?

Here’s an encouraging update on the murder of Jocelyn Dulnuan.

Cops hope to make arrest in murder of Mississauga live-in maid by Christmas


Peel Regional Police are “confident” they will have an arrest in the mysterious Mississauga mansion murder case by Christmas.

Saying they “now understand” what went on in the mansion, they are appealing to anybody who might have some key details in the slaying of maid Jocelyn Dulnuan to contact them right away.

  • 8 million to BGH
  • 8 million to improving the city library and buy quality books NOT photocopied materials
  • 2 million to various legitimate fundraisers including Ramon Dacawi’s
  • The remaining 2 million or less, have mayor Pete buy his councilors one HORSE each, good for the environment of Baguio and clean air! I’d like to see Perlita and her cohorts visit their constituents on horseback.

About Time

Let’s give props to Benguet Governor Nestor Fongwan for doing something that should have been done 50 years ago. What did he do? Start a program that will “match the volume of production with the volume of demand”.

He calls it vegetable profiling. In other countries, it’s called a vegetable quota system. Whatever we call it, programs like these are made to ensure that farmers are not planting the same vegetables at the same time thus ensuring that they would have better income for their produce.
