Second Man Charged in Dulnuan Murder

A second man has been arrested in connection with the killing of a housekeeper at a Mississauga mansion in October. Peel police laid murder charges on Tuesday against a labourer who was doing construction work at the sprawling home where the housekeeper was killed.
Fabian Loayza-Penaloza, a 35-year-old Canadian citizen who came to Canada from Ecuador in 1994, was arrested by Peel Regional Police and appeared briefly at a Brampton courthouse yesterday.

The accused is a general labourer “with a history of committing break-and-enters,” said Peel Homicide Insp. Norm English.
Police believe Dulnuan, 27, was killed as she tried to prevent a robbery inside the luxury home on Doulton Place, just off Mississauga Rd. and north of the QEW.

Peel Regional Police took a Toronto man into custody last night and charged him with first-degree murder in the Mississauga mansion slaying of a housekeeper, the Sun has learned.
Details were scarce but police acknowledged they will hold a news conference at 10 a.m. today to outline the case against Christian Figueroa, 35, whose arrest came after an extensive 11-week investigation that has seen up to 24 detectives working around the clock.
