Strawberries, as some of you noted here, don’t come from trees. However, in case you are clueless which I once was, kamias — that shiny sour thing which is good to chew during hot summer days — do come from trees.

that’s the first time i’ve heard of kamias. they look odd.

Kamias or pias is very good for cooking paksiw fish. Abundant harvest could be dried under the sun, stored in sealed containers to be used for later cooking. I think it taste a lot better than processed vinegar and more natural, too.
I don’t believe the tree grows in the colder parts of Cordillera but they do sell them in all markets.
