Art Tibaldo’s IMPAKABSAT Photos


Much thanks to Art Tibaldo for these photos of the IMPAKABSAT trade fair at the Festival Supermall in Muntinlupa. Those of you in Manila can still catch it today, the last day of the fair. If you can’t make it, well, watch out for it next year.

For those new to IMPAKABSAT, it is an annual event spearheaded by the Department of Trade and Industry to promote the Cordillera Region’s many products. The acronym stands for the Cordillera provinces (Ifugao, Mt. Province, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Benguet and Baguio City) and “kabsat” which, as we all know, means sibling/brother/sister in Ilocano as well as in other Cordillera languages.

The second photo above shows Godfrey Dominong, DTI-Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Coordinator for Ifugao, wowing shoppers and mallgoers.

Dulnuan Updates

Oops we’re late in uploading this photo but it’s better late than never. It shows Jocelyn Dulnuan’s mother, Godeliva Dulnuan, being interviewed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport last October. Photo courtesy of Migrante (via the Philippine Reporter).

As of October 26, 2007, a total of $29,912.o2 was raised for the Dulnuan Fund according to the Jocelyn Dulnuan Support Committee (JDSC).
