hi there! Girls in Batad, like in your area, do not wear tapis while planting rice. Of course, who’d wear those beautifully woven clothe in such muddy field! Also, the movie was right when it showed Gina Alajar cleaning the walls with ladder. Batad walls are high and most rocks used by the forefathers are quite small, so it’s quite hard to step on them to clean the upper walls. thanks for this review. I am planning to show the movie in Batad on June. Most of the Apo in the community have not yet seen it. Omoy ami!

Good point. I was thinking of that while watching the movie, what’s all this fuss about a pair of shoes? Hope other filmmakers who attempt to make films about our culture will be more sensitive next time. Thanks.

an Ifugao doesn’t give a damn not havin a pair of shoe..so stupid of the script writers and the director to inlcude that in the plot of the movie…they should have dig into the “politics and sociology of poverty”in Ifugao..
the movie is a total crap…
