Binky Lam-en, Candidate for MP Prov’l Board, Dies From Stroke

The past few days have not been kind to candidates from the Cordilleras. Earlier, we blogged about the killing of Kalinga Vice Governor and gubernatorial candidate Rommel Diasen while he was giving a speech in Magnao, Tabuk.

Meanwhile, I just received a text message that Alfredo “Binky” Lamen Jr., son of former Mt. Province Governor Alfredo Gayagay Lamen and a candidate for Board Member for the first district of Mt. Province died of a stroke during a campaign rally in Bauko town last April 3. The Northern Dispatch has more details. And so does mtprovince.net.

Our condolences to Lamen’s family.
